We are offering you a truly unique experience where you can spend a few days in a traditional cave house – the most ancient dwellings of the Canarian people. Around the mountainsides of Gran Canaria, aboriginal people carved out caves that providing them with a cool shelter from the heat of the summer sun and a warm home during the winter. Paradise Views Cave House is found in the Barranco Hondo de Abajo an unspoilt village made up of mainly caves houses and an hour and half drive from the south of the island. From the terraces of the finca , you can see the sacred mountain of the Risco Caido . This group of caves is the most important religious and astrological site on the Gran Canaria and was declared an UNESCO world heritage site in 2019. Directly in front of the finca you can find the Tamadaba forest. There are ninety-nine steps down to our little sanctuary but you will be more than rewarded for your effort. There are three terraces and we invite you to explore and find a cosy corner where you can relax and connect with nature. We also invite you to eat the fruit from the trees and pick from the herb garden to make a healing tea. However you want to enjoy your time here – whether it be as comfortable base for walking and exploring the north of the island or as a retreat to rest and recharge your batteries – we recommend you soak up the atmosphere of the main terrace in the at sunset. With a selection of local cheeses , bread and olives – matched with a local wine and a blanket at hand , we love to sit and listen to the sounds if nature. As the sun in the distance dips below the Tamadaba Forest a multitude of stars come out and sparkle
